Today we head a little further east to the fertile wine region of Kakheti. We cycle to the fortified town of Sighnaghi and enjoy the breathtaking views of the vast Alazani valley. With a bit of luck we can already see the mountains of the Greater Caucasus. We conclude the stage with a beautiful descent into the valley.
At the bottom, our bus is already waiting for us. Drive to a nice host family near Lagodekhi. Culinary evening with delicious dishes and the family’s own wines.

A scenic drive along the impressive Greater Caucasus mountain range. To our left stretches the fertile Alazani Valley with its endless vineyards and orchards.
In Gremi we will see the old fortress and then visit the non-profit project “Temi – Community”. Snack at Temi.
The bus now takes us to Ikalto to a nice winery. Here we can relax at the pool.

Transfer to just before Tianeti. We ride our bikes in a constant alternation of forests and fields to the Zhinvali reservoir. The last stretch along the reservoir is particularly beautiful.
